I am really enjoying getting to know all my kiddos. My students not only made these amazing All About Me posters, but also rocked their presentation! After one presents, he or she is allowed to call on three other students, one at a time, to make a comment or ask a question.
We got creative as we did Play-Doh sequential writing. Who doesn't love getting to use your imagination to make a creation from Play-Doh? I know we had a blast!!
This is not MY classroom, but OUR classroom. The students helped come up with rules for our classroom, and then we signed them to hold us accountable for obeying them. The students worked in pairs to answer these questions and then we had a discussion to guide us into classroom rules.
I wanted to get an idea of what my students felt that they need help with and help them set goals for themselves.
The Hopes and Dreams bulletin board is one of my favorites. I find it very beneficial to discuss students' 2nd grade goals with them. I love being able to relate what we are learning to their life goals.
