Solar Eclipse

We had a blast viewing the solar eclipse at WSE!!! We also enjoyed our Moon Pies, Sun Chips, Milkyway bars, and Starbursts! Thank you, parents and PTO!!

I hope that your weekend has been pleasant. Tomorrow is a big day! We will view the solar eclipse!!! 

Please remind your child about the importance of keeping his/her protective glasses on. We will review safety practices again in the morning. 

If you have any reservations, please let me know ASAP so that your child remains inside. Only students with signed permission forms will go outside. 

Feel free to come and view the eclipse with your child. Make sure you bring your own eclipse glasses as we just have enough for the students. 

Viewing will begin around 1:20 according to the correspondence sent by the school.

Pastries with Parents is scheduled for Monday, August 14 from 7:45-8:15am. 

This event will be a time of fellowship for our new parents.

First Day of Second Grade 2017-2018

We had a BLAST on the first day of school! The kiddos thoroughly enjoyed being creative for our Play-Doh writing activity. 

The students came up with concepts that they felt like they will need extra help with this year, how our classroom should look every day, and what they hope to learn in second grade. We used this to begin discussing classroom rules. The students came up with great rules for our classroom! 

2017-2018 School Year

My classroom is ready for the first day of the 2017-2018 school year. I can't wait to meet my sweet kiddos and parents! 🦊
