We’ve had an amazing week full of learning!

We reached our SECOND compliment reward!! Yay!!!

My kiddos worked so hard last week to help me be Teacher of the Week this week! ❤️

Congratulations to Porter for winning top AR and Zearn in our class this week! Porter and his sister were recognized at the Spartan Nation Celebration for top AR this morning.

Story Time

Mrs. Archer visited today for story time! She brought super fun props, too! The kiddos and I LOVED it!! We can’t wait for Mrs. Archer to come back for more Iggy Peck activities!

First Week of Second Grade 2019-2020

We had a fabulous first week of school! My AMAZING kiddos have worked so hard this first week creating, learning, and reviewing classroom and school-wide routines and procedures! They’ve been working so hard to earn pennies for their piggy bank! 🐷 💰 

At the end of each month we will trade our money in for tickets (teacher’s chair, show and tell, lunch bunch, etc.)  or keep saving. 

Day 1:

The first day was the BEST! We had SO MUCH FUN!! We opened our DonorsChoose.org packages. One package was Play-Doh, so we were able to do our creative writing. The kids made whatever they wanted from the Play-DOh and then they had to tell me all about it in their writing.

Hmm...What is it?

We got lots of good STEAM materials, and some more came later in the week!!! 

Day 4:

Today was bittersweet. Ms. Benson is off to do great things, but we sure will miss her at WSE!!!

Day 5:

We totally rocked the first week and got all of our letters on the COMPLIMENT chart!!! We were able to have extra recess and donuts 🍩Friday! Of course they were Gibson’s! 😋Thanks to the hubby for picking those up for us.

The students presented their All About Me poster projects Friday. We loved this!! It was so sweet getting to know everyone’s family and some of the kiddos favorite things. 

We made it through week 1 of second grade 2019-2020 and had a blast doing it!!!

We are Friday afternoon crazy and ready for the weekend! 🤪

WSE is so lucky to have the support from the East Memphis Rotary Club! They donated extra supplies to our school to make sure we have a great start to the new school year! Mr. McGee, who loves to come visit 2-05, donated extra supplies specifically for our classroom! 💙
